Introduction

Welcome to the first section of our documentation. Here, you'll learn how to properly set up your Facebook accounts and where to obtain them.

What Are Aged Accounts?

Aged accounts are Facebook accounts created years ago that have shown real signs of activity. These accounts have a higher reputation in Facebook's system, making them more reliable for automation tools like MessengerFlow. If you plan to use our software (or any similar tool), aged accounts are your best option.

Account Setup Process

Setting up your accounts correctly is crucial to avoid early suspensions. Many users overlook this step, resulting in short-lived accounts with minimal success.

To ensure longevity, you must set up your profile like a real person by:
✅ Adding a profile picture and cover photo
✅ Filling out your bio
✅ Posting a few updates related to your niche or interests
Utilizing all customization options available on Facebook
Adding friends to make your account look more authentic

  1. Log in at mbasic.facebook.com.
  2. Log out.
  3. Log back in at mbasic.facebook.com.
  4. Wait 24 hours before making any major changes.
  5. Customize your profile and start sending messages gradually using one of our Ramp-Up modes.

Adding Accounts to MessengerFlow

Adding your Facebook accounts to MessengerFlow is simple. You'll need the following details:

Required Information:

  • Email/Username/Phone
  • Password
  • 2FA Secret
    • Used to generate login codes for your accounts. This is an alphanumeric string obtained when enabling 2FA.
    • Learn more in the 2FA Secret section.
  • Cookies
    • You can import cookies in JSON format to retain login sessions.
    • Example format:
      [
          {
            "name": "locale",
            "path": "/",
            "value": "en_US",
            "domain": ".facebook.com",
            "expiry": 1722456303,
            "secure": true,
            "httpOnly": false,
            "sameSite": "None"
          }
      ]

Best Practices for Account Safety

To ensure your accounts remain in good standing, follow these guidelines:

1️⃣ Set Daily Message Limits

  • Recommended: 5-35 messages per day
  • Avoid exceeding 35 messages, as this will increase the risk of suspension.

2️⃣ Use Active Hours & Days

  • Do not send messages every day without breaks.
  • Avoid 24/7 activity patterns, which trigger automation detection.

3️⃣ Adjust Timezone Settings

  • Set your campaigns' timezone to match your leads' location, not your personal timezone.
  • Timezone settings only affect active hours.

4️⃣ Avoid Sudden Spikes in Activity

  • Facebook monitors your usage patterns. If you suddenly start sending a large number of messages, your account will likely get flagged.

⚠️ Avoid Creating New Accounts

Newly created accounts have strict limits and are quickly suspended. Instead, obtain aged accounts following this section.

Using Personal Accounts

Yes, you can use personal Facebook accounts with MessengerFlow. ID-verified accounts have a much lower chance of restrictions.

2FA Secret Setup

If you don't have a 2FA secret, follow these steps to generate one:

  1. Go to Facebook's 2FA Settings.
  2. Choose your profile when prompted.
  3. Select Authentication App as the 2FA method. (Other options are not supported.)
    2FA Step 1
  4. Copy the 2FA secret displayed next to the QR code.
    2FA Step 2
  5. Enter the 2FA secret in MessengerFlow when adding or editing an account.
    2FA Step 3
  6. Save the account and generate a 2FA login code from MessengerFlow.
    2FA Step 4
  7. Use the generated 2FA code to log in to Facebook.
    2FA Step 5

Tip: If you need to log in on another device, simply copy your temporary 2FA login code.

Language & Region Settings

To avoid issues, make sure your account settings meet the following requirements:

Language: English (US)
Region: United States (mm/dd/yyyy date format)

⚠️ If these settings are incorrect, MessengerFlow will not work, and your account will show an ERROR status.

Exporting Account Data

MessengerFlow allows you to export account cookies and local storage data, which is useful for backups or migrating accounts to other devices.

How to Export:

  1. Go to the Accounts Page.
  2. Click the three dots next to the account.
  3. Select "View details".
  4. Download cookies or local storage data in JSON format.

By following this guide, you can ensure your Facebook accounts remain active and avoid unnecessary restrictions while using MessengerFlow. 🚀
