What Are Lead Lists?
A lead is a person or company that has shown interest in your product or service. Lead lists are collections of these potential customers, used to reach out and convert them into paying clients.
Lead lists can be generated through:
✅ Lead scraping (automated collection from sources like Facebook)
✅ Lead generation tools
✅ Purchasing from third parties
A well-structured lead list is a valuable asset for any business, increasing the chances of successful outreach.
Using MessengerFlow’s Built-in Lead Scraper
MessengerFlow enables scraping leads from Facebook pages and groups. Below, we explain how to extract leads from these sources.
Scraping Leads from Facebook Pages
To scrape leads from Facebook pages, follow these steps:
- Go to the "Leads" page in MessengerFlow.
- Click "Get More Leads".
- Select "Page" from the dropdown.
- Enter the required details (location, industry, keywords, etc.).
- Click "Create".

Field Explanations:
- Name – Reference name for your lead list.
- Query – The search term used to find leads (similar to Facebook's search bar).
- Locations – Specify up to 200 target locations.
- Keywords – Words that must appear in the page name. At least one match is required.
- Blacklist – Pages containing these words will be excluded.
Each location is processed separately by your available accounts. Progress is tracked in the Leads section.
Scraping Leads from Facebook Groups
To scrape leads from Facebook groups, follow these steps:
- Go to the "Leads" page in MessengerFlow.
- Click "Get More Leads".
- Select "Group" from the dropdown.
- Enter the Facebook Group ID.
- Click "Create".

Field Explanations:
- Name – Reference name for your lead list.
- Group ID – The numeric ID of the group (found in the URL). Example
- Account – The Facebook account used for scraping. (Must be a group member for private groups.)
- Max. Limit – The maximum number of leads to scrape (default: 100,000). (Optional)
- Target Countries – Uses AI to filter leads based on names (Available on Momentum plan and above). (Optional)
Importing Leads
If you already have a list of leads, you can import them into MessengerFlow:
- Go to the "Leads" page in MessengerFlow.
- Click "Get More Leads".
- Select "Import" from the dropdown.
- Upload your lead list in CSV format.
- Click "Create".
The imported leads will be available for use in your campaigns.
CSV File Requirements:
- id – The lead’s Facebook ID or full profile URL (MessengerFlow will extract the ID automatically).
- name – (Optional) The lead’s name. If provided, it will be used in messages via
{{name}}. Otherwise, MessengerFlow will pull it from the profile.
